Welcome to the USA International Youth Rugby Foundation.The goal of our foundation is to educate, promote, and support youth rugby in the state of Colorado and beyond. Rugby is a sport where kids will learn more than just the rules of the game, they will learn important life lessons and the value of lasting friendships! As stated by Mike Dunafon, former pro-football player turned Rugby player “Rugby was the first sport I’d ever been involved in where my teammates and opponents became fast friends for life. 

There’s a camaraderie in Rugby that you won’t find in other sports.”

Rugby is the second most popular sport in the world; it is played by 117 countries by 2.5 million registered players.  In 2010, rugby was the third fastest growing team sport in the US according to a study conducted by the Sporting Goods Manufacturers association.  Players under 18 years old are the single largest segment within USA Rugby.  There are more than 650 high school rugby programs and 28,000 players in the United States.
